Dakota Bones artist Cherie Ramsdell uses bones, antlers and rawhide, native to the Dakotas, in creating her Native American art pottery and jewelry. The bones and antlers are picked up on ranches in the South Dakota Badlands. Dakota hunters and ranchers give Ramsdell hides which the artist tans using traditional methods. The jewelry designs are inspired by ancient Indian cave drawings.
